Beth Yates, CPA

Beth joined Seiler, Singleton & Associates, PA in 2006 as a staff accountant and became a principal in 2015. As a firm principal, Beth is involved in all aspects of the firm and currently oversees our bookkeeping and payroll services.

Beth’s interest in accounting began in high school when she worked at a small accounting firm through the school’s apprenticeship program. In 2004, Beth earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from East Carolina University. While at East Carolina, she continued working part-time at local accounting firms, including Seiler Singleton.

After graduation, Beth was hired as the bookkeeper and grants administrator for a not-for-profit organization in Belhaven, NC. In 2006, Beth was hired as a staff accountant with the firm. She started working on her Master of Science in Accounting from East Carolina University in 2007, which she received in 2009. The next year, Beth was certified as a Certified Public Accountant.

Beth is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants.

During her spare time, Beth enjoys working out and spending quality time with her family and friends. She also enjoys volunteering at Haw Branch Church of Christ, where she often assists with the youth programs. Beth grew up in Washington where she currently lives with her husband, two children, her son’s Labrador retriever, Gauge, and her cat, Murphy.
